Default what engine to get?

i have a project car that is now taking shape all that is really left is to decide the power source, its basically a converted buggie chassie that has been lowered and remade to handle on street with a much more aerodynamic body.
my question is what to put for an engine, i have the choice of getting an os .18 tz or similar priced nitro, or i can go electric brushless with a vxl or hvmaxx 4.5.
since i will be spending money on it i ask that only serious responses be posted.
im looking for the engine with the best overall topend while still holding some degree of acceleration, i will be setting it up for a steep gear ratio but the car can take either type as i have two transmissions modified and ready to place.

I voted for the OS .18 tz b/c i've seen with my own eyes how much faster it makes a jato 3.3 go vs the stock 3.3 engine. If i were you i would go with maybe a losi .28 the mach 427 model it has was more hp which with the right gearing will make it crazy fast. You will be able to get another 15-20 mph out of the losi vs the tz or the brushless motors.

would i be able to get say 70-75 mph range out of a tz if i geared it up? and how are they on torque? iv only really know about them from what iv read on the forums i want true power out of it hopefully more than the vxl system but i will go with whatever is overall best as long as the price is under 170

tz.

order lots of spare diff and idler gears. if they are plastic you will get 8-10 tanks out of them. maybe a few more with proper slipper settings, and if you set the slipper to save the gears from exploding, buy lots of slipper pads.

shes a beast when you get her up on the pipe.

i voted for the os .16 tz b/c from my past experience, it has been the most reliable and longest lasting engine i've ever owned
