Default mt2 vs. e-firestorm...

So I have an hpi mt2 completely stock, and my buddy has a hpi e-firestorm. He just got a sidewinder esc, and a castle creations 5700 motor. We did some speed runs today and his launches quite a bit faster than me and our top speed is about the same. I figured that his would launch faster than mine, but I thought that I would be able to pass him in the top speed. Guess not.

It really depends on his electric motor. electrics always accelerate faster than gas motors, but depending on his motor and battery packs have a vrey good chance of having more top too.

put an 18 tz in it, then you will have him reaching for the lipos just to keep up [sm=thumbs_up.gif]

If you don't own the correct batteries and charger to get the most out of your e firestorm you might want to concider nitro. But in the long run the electric will be cheaper and faster most of the time. The mt2 has 4x4 so it will have an advatage in the corners big time..

That's wierd this is the exact same thing my friend and I are doing. Except I have e-firestorm with the sidewinder set-up. I just bought a duratrax ice charger and 2 trinity 4500 lipos so I guess we'll see how much more I beat him by.
