Hi,
I haven't ran my mt2 for a long time and realized why I stopped: the engine would start after I cranked the engine a few times while giving it gas, then it would stop. It would run WOT and will continue to run ONLY if I continued to give it gas. Whenever I apply the breaks to make it idle, the engine stops completely then I have to repeat the process and pray for the best.
I have returned my high and low speed needle to factory settings (not quite sure what the default throttle setting is) and it would still do the same. I checked the glowplug, which is still good, bought brand new O''Donnell 20% fuel, and dripped three drops of after run oil and it is still doing the same thing. Is the problem with the servo? I''ve also cleaned my engine to make sure there was no debris, and there was none.
My LHS said the cause may be the throttle screw, so I adjusted the throttle screw, which I never have before, and almost closed it (took many turns). I've also noticed that for about six cranks in a row, the engine will start with one pull. My MT2 worked very well for 7/8 of a gallon. I tried to start it up again but my MT2 would start then stop again.
While my truck was out of commission for about a year, I made sure the suspension wasn''t being stressed and kept my exhaust plugged.
Thanks in advance!
