WOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!
I just got the Nitro Ruslter running again... swapped a 2.5 onto it (an older one) and was passing cars on the street at about 40-45 mph (they were doing 35.... i was pulling on them!)
ONLY problem... I did lower the ride height and the back end squats nicely as the Anaconda tires hook up like nobody's business... only problem is this brings the front end up and while it doesnt wheelie yet (not done tuning it!!!) this makes the front end very unstable... causes pulling ( I did set the alignment its toed in slightly on both sides, and I mean very very slightly) and seems to want to be too "squirrely"...
Do you think that I should put some Jato springs/shocks on the front end to lower it down? Try softer springs? Any tips? Should I just go back to factory springs/shocks??
I guess I need to play with it some more but man, this thing moves now and moves good!!

harder springs in the rear will make u spin out more, softer will give you better acceleration.
i modded the rx pack off the back and put it in between the receiver and the front tower, even under full accel. it wont wheelie.

My battery pack is up front as well, used the mount and modified it to hang on front and servo taped it in place
Works nicely, I dont want it to wheelie just want ti to be more stable... I work in automotive, ill grab some tape weights and weigh it down tomrorow.

Yup! Coming tonight... I hit a f'ing wall today (corner, of course!) at about 40-ish MPH... cracked the motor mount busted 2 screws out so the motor is loose now and the damn thing snapped the front shocks off... UGH! way to lose control
i HAAAAAAAAAAVE to get that damn Jato suspension swap done!!

Okay... Pics here.

Busted up engine mount
GO ME!
Battery Relocation

Rear of Rustler...

Moved tray to front (had to trim a bit but it works)

Tray w/ Batteries
The relocation was very easy to do... only took a few moments and a quick idea. It does weigh the front end down nicely but not enough w/ stock suspension, hence my next little upgrade is the Jato suspension swap out... I have to lower the front end of this thing... It's still nasty enough to pull the wheels! I just about finalized the tuning today and it pulled a tiny wheelie in the parking lot...
And here's my little home away from home... I have a small "cubbyhole" in the basement that I use to work on the trucks... You don't see the T-Maxx its on the floor... Only the Rusty and the Tamiya Dark Impact.

nice pics man good job on the battery reloc. ill have to post some pics of mine
try stiffening the front springs a little too, that should help you keep the rear tire planted when u turning at higher speeds...
