Default throttle issues

after a simple little roll over on a grassy hill side that caused my car to stall... after i started it back up the car took off on me.. throttle wide open! lucky(or not) for me there was a really big tree that was set in its path. now i have tons of broken parts that are all easy to fix but im wondering what could have coused my throttle issues.. after looking closer. i have no idea whats wrong. all i know is that my carb is wide open when the radios are on

Ouch...........hope I can help you out.............but if the revers isn't the question then a few teeth missing on the servo gears might be in order, unless you got lucky and the horn spun on the top gear [&o]

I'd check everything like MJAsony said. A few strange ones I have seen are metal to metal contact somewhere causing radio interferance when its running only. I have had a throttle servo go wide open only when the engine is running. Something inside the servo causes this glitch when the engine is running. Or just the reciever is bad period. Those are some of the odd issues that are harder to trace. I hate when it has to be running to get the glitch to wide open throttle. Makes it very difficult to trace the issue.

ok well batteries where changed out that morning... so i know its not them... and they came out of a freash package (brand new)

when i turn the power off from the car. i can manualy close the throttle... and when i turn the power back on (car) it springs wide open again... remote is turned off at this point.

so while typing this. i went and moved around all the wires and played with my car a bit while trying to figure this out and now the throttle is closed, im kinda scared to start it up to be honest! GRRRR[:@]

now i turned on my cars power and my reciever... i have the correct throttle posiotion but im guessing the only way for me to know ifs fixxed (with out fixxing anything) it by starting my car up!

I would always have the remote on first then turn the car on. Are you running a failsafe, could be set wrong way if you are? Might be a wire or something metal touching metal causing radio interferance as I stated above, or reciever, or needs a new servo. Start it with something right infront of the bumper so it cant go anywhere if it decides to go wide open.
