Default Pull start wont work

I just bought a pull starter from traxxas for my 3.3. the pull starter however doesnt crank the engine and you can pull it as if it wasnt on the engine. i think there is no connection between the starter and the crankshaft

yes it looks like there is no one way bearing a little hexigan nut if you look at the side of the pull start thafaces the engine you will see a hexigan hole it fits in there look around you may of miss placed it or you may need another one if you buy a new one gett the right size as there are diffrent size nuts for other pull stars even if the pull start is the same size as yours it may not be the right nut but it probbly been missplaced good luck
