the slayer is the revo with short arms
redcat should be avoided, while traxxas is a big reputable company with good parts availability

you can't get parts for redcat at the local hobby store
there are far more places where you can get parts for traxxas vehicles, it's better to have 15 places to buy parts rather than 2-3
traxxas has been around longer, and you can buy any traxxas product knowing you will be able to get parts for it 5 years later
if redcat decides to stop importing parts or goes out of business your vehicle will be useless , unless you decide to track down whatever vehicle they copied and find parts for that (which will be hard too)

Red Cats are easy to get parts for you just get them from Himoto rather than Red Cat
Red Cat never has what you need so there pretty useless,Himoto is good at keeping parts in stock and ship fast.I would stay away from Red Cat becouse they are pretty crapy IMO.I had one and wouldn't buy another becouse the plastic that they use is very cheap and breaks easily. The slayer is new so it will be awhile before upgrades are available, but I have heard good things about the truck.
