Hanney...search for "shock tower" for tower and then refine your results by ASsociated.

the front shock tower is identical to an RC10T2's.

and GTdirtracer, STOP ASKING THAT. there is a REASON nobody has done it, and nobody can answer your questions, now stop asking, PLEASE!.

I never said you couldn't. I just said that it's pointless, because the Associated shocks are great, and parts are more plentiful.

just make sure when you get the factory team towers(carbon fiber) that you go around the edge with some super glue or CA+ to keep them from wanting to spliter.

yeah i have been trying to figure out whats so great about the mst-1 shocks my self. there arent many places that carry mugen parts. im not being mean or anything but you really have been asking about it alot gtdirtracer. im sure others have noticed it too.

HANNEY the tub chassis was the original. the new style flat chassis is better from what i have read. the tubs flexed alot (again from what i hve read) and made it harder to clean.

I was out racing my factory team GT for 2nd time yesterday, and the rear carbon fiber shock tower broke in half off on one of the big jumps. Is this a normal break, or should I send it back to Associated and see if they will replace it?

I was runing my truck today and half way through the tank i noticed it was a bit up there in temps so i richend it...and richend it...it just kept getting hotter and i just shut it down. I tested to see if the glow plug was tight so no air was getting past but it was tight..I pulled on the pull start slowly and i could feel and hear the air leaking as i pulled on the rope. Where is the most common source of an airleak besides a loose glow plug?

Almost looks like your truck is set up too stiff in the rear. take some of those preload spacers out, and/or go to a silver spring out back and see how it works then.

Thanks for the tip. I do have extra springs, so I'll have to try them out.

Ok so i got my RC10 the other day. It already has an OS motor in it, how can i tell which one it is?? Looks a little big to be the .12. Thing runs great, engine hasnt even been broke in yet. Needs a few parts though.....spring spacers, and a new controller (missing battery pack, cover, and antenna). Will work with it more this week, I have to head out of town on business but next weekend ill break in the engine, and get a feel for what the truck needs.

Go here and compare it to some of the .12's, .15's or .18's. [link=http://www.osengines.com/engines/car.html]OS engines [/link]

GTdirtracer,
let me know how they bolt up. I've been considering changing shocks as well. I have to rebuild mine every month and I'm tired of it.

rc10t and rc10gt parts compatibility....

does anyone know how similar these 2 trucks are? do they share the same size A-arms, hub carriers, shock towers, bulkheads front and rear, tranny cases, etc? I want to get an rc10t if it shares a lot of parts with my gt, cuz then i can still get parts for it as there is still parts support for the rc10gt (for now). Your experience and knowledge on the subject please!

i can just picture a an rc10t tub chassis taken down to bare alum.. titanium turnbuckles, graphite shock towers, and all blue rpm A-arms... sweet! (thats how my gt is right now, it would be cool to have an rc10t just like it...)
