Default HPI MT2 or Firestorm?

Guys - I have an HPI RS4 3 EVO+ and I like the HPI brand a lot! Its getting cold and crappy outside but I'd still like to play on the driveway. I am looking for something to bash around my very large yard with. It has tons of hills and tons of open grass which we keep ~ 1.5 - 2" long max. I am looking for something that will be the most fun and these two models look like good solutions. I like the MT2 because its 4wd and is basically an RS4 with upgraded parts/lifted parts. I like the Firestorm because its pretty bad ass and RWD would be kind of crazy in some light snow or gravel/dirt. But... what do you guys think? They're not that different in price, but both have pros and cons. I like the 4WD as its probably most controllable and would do best in the snow... but maybe it'd be cool to have a RWD in the snow and be all over the place...

Help!

two totally different vehicles... So you cant really compare them.

For tons of open grass I would go with a bigger vehicle 1/8th 4WD, savage x, savage xl, LST2...

I also have a very long driveway about 1.5 cars wide and 800 - 900 ft long. So its kind of like I could go on/off road. The grass is pretty short and in some spots its just dirt or moss - I am also trying to stay around 250 - 350

my mt2 copes very well on short grass, i put a nosram .18 in mine and it really takes off now. not tried the firestorm, but looking at it, it may have a slightly higher ground clearance than the mt2.

thats what I am thinking and the motor it has might be a little better, right? 2wd might be interesting And, you only have to replace one set of tires regularly

well the mt2 will use less tires because there's less spinning when all 4 grab. i've never owned a firestorm only a mt2 "NICE" but i hear firestorm is a great truck you won't be mad either way but if you don't like much wrenchin stay away from the mt2 it's a little more demanding than most cars but i love them. the two car have very little in common !

Keep in mind a 4 wheel drive will go places 2 wheel drive only dreams about. I have to agree with Mekong the Savage would all so be something to consider.

To me,4x4 on a light weight ST will help more with handling than traction...When mashing the throttle, most of the weight shifts to the back and leaves almost no weight in the front(depending on the torque of the engine).Weight will go more places than 4x4 alone will,IMO...Ground clearance is another key to go to those hard to reach places...(Savage)
4x4 does help with traction, but not as much as weight does.

I have them both and both are great trucks. If you get a new mt2 it will have the g3.0 same motor as the storm.Ride height is about the same the main difference is 4wd compared to 2wd.Both are great and both do good in short grass.Flip a coin you will be happy with whatever one you decied to go with.
