Default which of the two?

im looking to get my first nitro car but not sure which one to get out of a hpi firestorm and a traxxas nitro sport, im not really into racing much just looking for a strong car that can take a bashing and easy to work on. Any one got any expericance with the two, i like the look of the firestorm but the nitro sport is a bit cheaper, so any one got any idea which would be best?

Well I have a Sport and a hot bodies Lighting 10t. I know It's not quite the same. but its close. There both .15 but the sport smokes it. in a strait line. Plus the ez start is sweet
for quick starts. Yea the hpi firestorm has a 3.0. that nice, but the Sport give you more for your money. Imo.

The Nitro Sport is only $10 cheaper than the Firestorm...The Firestorm has a bigger engine which is more reliable then the TRX 2.5.It also makes more speed and accel than the Sport...
One big difference between the two is durability. The Firestorm will knock the Sport into the ground in a bashing contest....
I'd easily spend 10 dollars extra for all that!

But before you rush into buying either, make sure your Local Hobby Store carries parts for your future truck,if you don't like to wait for parts being mailed...
Have fun!

My Sport is 2yrs old, and has about 3 gals or so through it. And runs like a champ still. I'm not bashen the Firestorm at the least. Just that the Sport is imo more
user friend. Plus the lhs carries tones of parts.

The sport has the 15[:'(]Worst motor that Traxxas makes. The Storm is 100 times better than the sport.Get the HPI and don't look back.

Even though i have a traxxas i would agree with 241 racing about the engine!!! the trx .15 is ok but i would say that the hpi firestorm would be better than the nitro sport, then add like 40 bucks for a nitro rustler which i got like 3 weeks ago. Or think about getting the xxx nt which is a good truck too

Where you live M8 you need to go down to your local hobby store and see about there support and the prices the want to hit you with. There is a lot of product over in Europe / England that parts are very hard to come by. Do the home work man

i have a rustler 2.5r and its fast as hell but if you plan on only bashing, it will break something every bash session at near 50 mph. im selling my nitro rustler on ebay for that very reason, lol. 125 starting bid, lol
