Default Help with slipper?

I'm trying to adjust my silpper clutch to get the most out of it.. anybody have any pointers? I read somewhere that the ideal setting is somewhere that if you are holding the right wheel and spur tight, the left wheel should not be too easy or too hard to rotate. Is this a good thing to go off of for a ball-park setting? If so.. I had to loosen my slipper A LOT to get this setting.. I read somewhere else usual settings are 1/4-1/2 a turn out.. I'm like at least a turn or two out!

Just want to make sure everything is good for handling those jumps.. thanks
