Deciding on a Engine
Hello I'm kinda new here. I've been on the forums for awhile. Just never post. Well I picked up a used older nitro rustler. It has a dynamite .12spd engine on it and I want to upgrade to a better engine. I was looking at a Ofna Jammin .12 Pull Start. But I don't know what engine is a decent one. I got alittle under $200 dollars to put a engine and possibly a ok tuned pipe. Btw I just a basher, but would like to get into racing at a local track. I'm not dead set on the motor. Just want a good motor with a pullstart that Will mount with little trouble. Ideas and opinions welcomed. Thanks

RE: Deciding on a Engine
Since you want to race you should look into the OS .12tz or .12tg........ If you want to just bash get an OS .15cvx or OS .18 tz or cvx..... You can't go wrong with OS engine they are one of the most reliable engines out there for a great price.......

RE: Deciding on a Engine
I would agree OS motors are very reliable. I have had several OS engines in my RC10GT. Had the .12 CVX, .15 CVX, and lastly the .18 CV-R. 3 motors in 14 years is not bad at all. The .18 I got for 99.00 bucks. The .18TZ will run you about 179.00. I also run an OS .21TM in my Jato. OS is beyond reliable and they last a very long time.
