so im thinking its about time to upgrade, and buy a new engine for my hyper st. its an rtr, whats a good engine for this truck. a few ive read about are the picco .28 but at amain it says monster truck engine, the picco .26 red dot, jammin jpx .28, werks makes a nice one. then theres the osxz but its really expensive and ive heard there hard to tune. so what are you guys running in your hyper's or whats known to work well in them? im just into bashing. thanx, clay unruh

you could always try the good old lrp .28, it's got lots of power and is easy to tune, but doesn't have quite the violent delivery that the picco does, the picco is an extremely nice motor, but lrp gets on the power a little smoother .

hey thanx for the reply, yeah i could go w/ the lrp z .28 but im putting one of those into my lst2(pull start) and i want somthing different. i dont want the same engine in both my hyper and lst2. its like the losi cars. the 8ight rtr, the 8ight-t rtr, the muggy, and the lst2 all come w/ the mach 427. and i want one of each but decided on the lst and 8ight-b then get some diff. cars, mmgt, bandit vxl, tr-15 stadium force, hyper st. then maybe a muggy or an 8ight-t. anyway back to my original question. so you do say the picco .28 will work in my truggy even though they specify it as being a monster truck engine?
