OK, as it wasn't getting much attention in the Schumacher section.

What fuel should a Schumacher Havoc be using? Its got a "4.6 big block" engine, which IIRC is a .28.

My friend is currently using 25%, but I'm starting to think this may be a bit high.

Opinions??

Thanks

Actualy 25% is not bad. I'm running 30% in my OS .21TM. What ypu shpuld be more concerned about is oil content. What brand are you running?

at a minimum you should run 20%, i recommend 30% because its high quality and some believe (including me) its easier to tune and more consistent temperature wise.

TGreg is absolutely correct. 30% runs way cooler and is very easy to tune with plus also gives a bit more power as well.

I only run 30% in my Revo and most traxxas engine dont even start with other fuels[] I would agree with everyone with 30% with more power and consistent tune. But for some reason my engine runs hotter with 30% but only 5-8 degrees more

Do you know how to tune a engine?I have a 2.5r and 3.3 and they love Trinity monster horsepower 20%.I have ran Trinity 20% for years with no issues no matter the engine, tunes well and has good performance.Trinity monster horsepower is good fuel the Platnium is also good so eaither are good choices for fuel.I have heard good things about nitrotane and red alert also but haven't used it.

Cerberus90 Hey m8 before you decide to put a hotter fuel in your truck make sure the head is shimmed right. To go to a hotter fuel you need to lower the compression. Unless of course you have unlimited funds and can afford a prematurely burned up engine I run 25% maximum without shimming the head and thats a little hard on it anyway. Most all the Schumacher cars are designed to run on 20% and the only reason to go to a 30% would be because your racing or your just a speed freak GOOD LUCK & HAPPY RC'en

I have used Byrons 20% and BlueThunder 30% with no issues. Now I am running Maxy's Fuel 30% and it is by far the best fuel I have ever used. It is hard to find but if you do find it try it out. It is great for the speed freak in me. lol.

I wouldnt run platinum on the traxxas engines. Trinity platinum race 20% only has 8% oil, and traxxas engines like a lot of oil and beginners can lean it out too much. I ran trinity platinum 20%, and although it was ok, I prefer nitrotane. I am going to try byrons though!

Whats wrong with Traxxas?Chris could you give me the link to where you buy the nitrotane,I just bought fuel but would like to try out the losi fuel.I ran the platnium in my trx motors with no issues, ran about the same as the monster really.I run the trinity simply cause it's good and priced right.I had good luck with byrons but it's about 5 bucks more a gallon.I payed 34 for a gallon of 20% trinity monster the other day last year was 24 go figure.Traxxas rules by the way[X(]

Well I buy Nitrotane at a hobby shop, $28 a gallon for 20% race. You can get it in a quart [link=http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/products_id/13685]here[/link]. It's really good fuel, try it out..... Nitrotane sport is the ONLY sport fuel I will reccomend. It has 20% nitro, and only 12% oil. Race has 10-11 % oil.
