Default Wrong Charger?

Hello.

Today i drove all the way to hobbytown usa to get some accessories for my firestorm. I ended picking up a [link=http://http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXFJT1&P=7]HPI 5-Cell 6V 1200mAh NiMH Hump Rx J battery[/link]. i asked the salesman which charger to use and he grabbed a[link=http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXTCJ8&P=ML] DuraTrax Onyx 200 AC/DC Sport Peak Charger[/link] DuraTrax Onyx 200 AC/DC Sport Peak Charger. when i got home i read the instructions and the battery says charge at a max of 1.0A and the charger only charges at a minimum of a 1.5A. does the .5A make a huge difference? Would it hurt to just use them together, or must i get another charger and if so which one would you suggest?

Thanks
Brandon.

Default RE: Wrong Charger?

The charger you bought will work "but" a charger with a lower charge rate will improve the time your battery will hold a charge by as much as 20% [&o]
