Default Jato 3.3 engine

it has been running funny again, runs good for about 20 minutes then starts to stall right after a hard exceleration, i took the head off cuz i thought dirt got down the plug hole, and noticed small pitting on the piston, is this because of debris in the motor?, or possibly a lean issue?, thanks for your input

A picture would be great. What fuel are you running? Debris in the engine can render it useless.

if the piston has scratches or slices in it then you need a new sleeve and piston.

I run my Jato on road alot as well but it still gets dirty. Make sure b4 you remove the filter that it is as clean as possible. Clean the filter housing real good with soap and water and the filter element as well. As that is drying take a cotton swab and spray it with just a dab of WD40 and clean the mouth of the carb with it. You will see that it will have some very fine dirt on it. Remember to oil your filter up place back on the car and this should help prevent dirt from getting in your mototr.
