Default whats the best nitro stadium truck/truggy for racing

i want to buy a stadium or truggy for racing and i had the hpi firestorm in mind. is this a good choice? my budget is around $300.00 but i could do a little more if i had to.
i originally liked the rustler but the firestorm is better i think, are there any others or is this a good choice? and is this truck good for racing/jumping?

team assosiated gt2 ($300rtr) or the losi xxx-t (price?) both perform just about equal. i would go with the one your shop has most parts for.

Firestorm is great for bashing and is a decent rqacer but I would go for the GT2 for sure.

http://www.google.com/products?hl=en...ted&scoring=pd

the one on ebay is under 300 with shipping
i almost bought an electric firestorm  from a guy at our track and after a test run  i  didnt like it ,  it couldnt drive as smooth as my gt2 no matter how much we tweaked the suspension.

it really depends on who and what you are racing against. if you are racing against a field of losi and associateds you will be at a disadvantage from the getgo. but if there is a good variety of different trucks with so-so drivers youd be just fine. the firestorm is a step behind the gt2 and xxxt, but a step ahead of everything else. your question was what is the best. firestorm is almost there. the "best" truck isnt always the "fastest", its YOU that has to be fast.

I just bought a nitro rustler, I love it, havent raced it at all tho its got the trx 2.5 in it which works for me... how will this stand up to the other racers? Losi' s and gt's and firestorms? I've been practicing my turns most of all i think that is where i'll be able to excel the most,

The rustler is a 16 year old design, so it handles like cars from 1993......The XXX-NT and GT2 are only a couple years old and were built for racing. Hahahhahah, Practicing on the street and on dirt lots won't make you any better. You just need to go to a track and see if you excel most drivers. I guarantee you you will be in the beginner class.

Yeah, you're definitley not going to win any races against GOODdrivers with a Rustler. The HPIis better, but your best bet for racing is almost always to go with an AE or Losi. I like the design of the GT2 a little better than the Losi, but they're basically the same truck. Each accels at different things, but they're both excellent racing trucks.

How can you accidently buy it LOL? That is a good truck, but you can get it for cheaper. As long as you didnt pay for it you can cancel your order.

You should be able to cancel the order, but if not you'll be just fine. You can get it cheaper, but not by a huge amount from what I've seen. That truck should be good for you since your newer to the hobby, because it will come with just about everything you need, but fuel. The RS is a little tougher than the FT kit version of the truck too, but it's still a good beginner racer. As you get better you can always upgrade parts to Factory Team stuff too. Enjoy, you made a good purchase.

when i first started racing a few years back all i had was my nitro rustler. back then i dont think my lap times would have been any faster if i had a better truck . i kept racing with it untill i just couldnt go any faster (consistant times and no bobbles), and then i got the gt2. believe it or not in my first qualifier ever with it almost got the track record, was off by 5 seconds in a 5 minute heat. learn how to make your rustler fast youll turn into a great driver. go to the track as much as possible, or if thats not an option go to a softball field set up some cones and drive till you form a rut.

Not to stir the pot,but I've eaten up GT2s with my Jato. Bashing and racing. But many many many great racers use Associated and Losi. Some of the best in the business race those truggys.

We are taling about gas trucks, not truggies. And barely any tracks have classes for gas truck.
