Default JACO Stadium Truck Tires. Your impressions.

I started a thread in the electric offroad thread and I don't want to spam but thought maybe some of the viewers here may not visit over there. I've seen on the forums and heard in person, bashers and racers alike complain about the rubber tires that come with their kits, wearing out very fast or flying apart from the crazy speeds that new kits are reaching. I've been running the JACO truck prism's for a while now on my 2 elec. trucks and they hold up very well. I was a little sketchy at 1st as I've always ran rubber tires but these things impressed me beyond what I had read from reviewsand made me a true believer that foam, for onroad of course, is head and shoulders above rubber. The trucks handle much better, both in a straight line and on an oval parking lot track. The cool factor is up there as well as these look killer on the trucks. So, why would you keep buying rubber tires, again for onroad use only, when these foams last much longer and provide better performance from all aspects? Just a thought.

Well I started using the Jaco foams on my Jato 3.3 and absolutely love them. I used think Anacondas were good but within 2 weeks I was buying another set of rear tires. I have had my Jaco's now for 3 months and they still have good rubber or foam on them and handle better even better with a little wear on them. Love them for sure.

I've seen the JACO foams do really well on ST's as well. My buddy got some for his 10T and it made a world of difference on the street. They do seem to get a LOTmore life out of them too over the rubber.

I know the jaco foams are the best tires out there! I wish they can make them for 1/8th cars! And they look nice

Cool. At least I'm not the only person out there that thinks foam is the way to go on for onroad running. Those carbon fibers are sick. Can't wait to get mine.

Does the Duratrax take a hex for the front wheel or does it have 2 grooves where bearings are to be installed? I think JACO makes these as well since the JATO fronts are of this type. I'm glad you found them. Now if you get a set, let me know what you think. I'm sure you will be most impressed.

The Jacos you see on here are for the Traxxas Jato and Rustler. I doubt they make any for HPI. Well what HPI? For some reason I was thinking Savage lol. They might fit the Firestorm or MT2. If they dont fit you can try a different hex size. I know they make them for all on road cars also. Check out the website. I belepve its Jaco.com.

thanks for your reply,

well, specifically those would be for a 12mm hex hub, I think its pretty common on 1/10 trucks and buggies, seen them on HPI and Kyosho, and on some touring cars.
like these:

I guess that if the inside of the jaco rims look like these, they might fit with some minor tweaks:

by the way, I did try to contact Jaco several days ago but have not received any reply...

The inside of the Jacos look just like those. They should fit with a few mods. Trust me its not a perfect fit on the Jato. I had to add shims so the rims fit nice and tight with no play.

thanks for clearing that up, I guess you are talking about the rear jacos right?

I also noted they also have them for the rustler, wonder if anyone has inside pictures of this rim
I'm not very familiar with the jato or rustler so bear with me

I'm wondering which of those two wheels would be the one to get...
