Thanks for responding!!! I need to know, I have a jato 2.5, and upgrading it to 3.3 trx. Do I need the ips shaft or multi shaft?

Per the Traxxas web site you want the IPS shaft. The multi shaft comes with threaded inserts to fit on other non Traxxas models and needs to be used with a bump box. It does not accept the EZ START or PULL START. Hope this helps you out man.
