I'm looking into getting my first nitro rc truck, would like one thats for off road. Really not into racing the moment so will only drive outside in the dirt have been looking at trucks around the $400 dollar area and come up with these choices, looking for insight from people that more familiar with what im looking for.

Which one or if theres anything else better please let me know.

Got the Savage X good truck can take a royal beating. Yet to brake a part on mine. The RTR also has a damn good engine.
BTW that ebay one is a rip off

Only thing about it is the manufacturer settings for break in are too rich and the needles usually have to be leaned out a bit to be able to hit proper breakin temps.

Am really considering buying the savage, what fuel do you recoment best?

fuel everyone says odonnel 20% or maxys 20% are among the best
personally I'm using Traxxas top fuel (hobby shop was out of odonell last time I ran out ) Its kind of oil heavy.

Also got the Savage X4.6 for Christmas. Words cannot explain how much I love this truck. The settings areset very rich from the factory for break in. I also run Maxy's 30% in all my RC's.

Almost forgot. When I orders mines it was for$380.00 at Amain Hobbies
