I need some help please.. What effects 2nd gear the most.. One day it works great and the next it day it will not even go into 2nd gear.. What should I adjust first when this happens.

What's the weather conditions? Could just be a little off tune. Usually if your running a little rich, it won't shift. Try putting it to factory settings. What is the engine in it?

Tune of course could be a reason, also the jato tranny loves to strip out second gear. If you have tried adjusting the shift point and still cant get it to go into second, you might have a chewed up second gear.
