is it gona be on the truck when you do this? you should inject something else into the engine, like something explosive. do you have any oxygen tanks?

RE: Decided on an x-cellerator

ya you should hook up a line injecting oxygen into the intake, set the truck on something where it cant move and the wheels spin freely. then start it up, give it full throttle, and inject the oxygen. be sure to stand really far back, possibly protected by something just incase the oxygen tank explodes. the engine should make a big explosion.

ICrashThings 05-13-2004 06:43 PM

RE: Decided on an x-cellerator

hmmmm just looked, no oxygen tanks :<

would a wd-40 can make a big explosion?[&:]

ericheller 05-13-2004 06:49 PM

RE: Decided on an x-cellerator

naw, wd40 is barely flamible. how about a can of starting fluid straped to a truck that will already explode and catch on fire? you just need to find something really flammible that you can inject that will explode. go to your lhs and get a quart of 50% or more nitro fuel, and find someone with a oxygen tank or asetilin, put the stuff in something that you can put on the truck.

ICrashThings 05-13-2004 06:56 PM

RE: Decided on an x-cellerator

how about i do what i did last time and lean the truck and boom?...

...or run it into a stream!!!:D

ericheller 05-13-2004 06:58 PM

RE: Decided on an x-cellerator

well it shouldnt explode, just break you conn rod, or seize the engine, or just detonate, but its unlikely that it will actually explode.

Hehe he is a bit biased aint he :). XXX-NTs lose from time to time to. It isn't the truck that wins, its the driver!

also i will respect you if you change your stupid thing that says im not a crash dummie hall of fammer blah blah blah.... that was just kinda ignorant of you to put that. me and icrashthings had this discussion befor, we both think you go to far with things, lighten up will ya, and you are being bais, you always talk crap about other truck, and brag about the x-c. everyone has a right to their own opinion, but you shouldnt try to put down others. now i want to appoligize to the author of this post and all of rcu, i shouldnt have even posted here in the first place.

icrashthings, futher disscussion about blowing things up should be done via pm's or aim.

Maybe I should not get the x-c now! If the truck aint gonna work for racing with the engine it has in it, then I will buy somthing that will.

I just checked out my track's website, and they have an open motor for the 1/10 st class. Also how does the nitro rush evo compare to all of this?

RE: Decided on an x-cellerator

I started breaking in my X-C yesterday. Started right up every time on the 1st or 2nd pull. I've got 7 tanks thru it and now I'll start lean it out some more for power. The quality of this truck is amazing. Full Ball bearings, CVD's, , Ball diffs, Threaded shock bodies, Large cooling head etc. I've had a Duratrax Max. st Pro, Nitro Sport, Rush Evo, RC10GT and the XTM is as good as any of them so far. The engine and brake adjustments are easy to access and theres plenty of room to make the adjustments. I don't like the rear tires so I switched them, and I cut out the stinger hole on the body to make it easier to put on. Theres no shortage of power and I still haven't leaned it fully out yet. Tomorrow I plan to bring it up to the local track and put it thru its paces to see how it holds up. The only adjustment I've had to make so far is a minor brake adjustment. Hopefully XTM will make good on their promise of hop-ups soon for this truck and will make a good truck even better. If you want a quality truck with a fantastic engine that will run all day this truck is for you!
