i cant get the clutch bell and all that off. i had my brother try to unscrew it while i held it. it wont come off. i'll just have to get a new clutchbell and flywheel and clutch. does anyone know what will fit with that engine on the hpi mt.

If it was assembled with thread-lock(it should be), then you can get it to soften up with heat. And a good hardened driver.

RE: engine

the thread lock shouldnt be that hard to break off. its supposed to be able to let you unsrew stuff while not letting it back out on its own.

RE: engine

You are right, it shouldn't be...But if it was put on with too much, or the wrong compound...
Plus it's the clutch bell....Lots of heat cycles.

If the screw is stripping, then try to cut a slot in the head with a dremel(if it's a button screw).
