RE: trucks
ORIGINAL: Kemo 15-18? I wouldn't really justify that as a braggin right for a truck. The rusty is extremely slow on take off, on a track. the rest of the trucks must be have been equipped with "economy" gear. Almost every truck here has an italian mill in them, or an OS. Do you even run a setup? or even know how to set the truck up for the track? |
RE: trucks
ORIGINAL: Kemo Thats the problem with SPORT fuels. They are made rich as heck, to the point where you are actually damaging your engine to get it to run normal. 12% oil is the most I run, and 10 is the least. This is so true read the link! Check out this link and be enlightened. http://www.*********.org/understanding_fuel.htm |
RE: trucks
yeah, i agree with most above posts. the nitro rustler is a decent basher, although mine seems to be just falling apart on me these days, and could be a good, strong racer if you are willing to blow a LOT of money. therefore, why not just get an rc10, or some other racing st. for bashing, the best up there is the mt2 hands down, but i would deffinately go for the 18ss kit
|
RE: trucks
I agree the best stadium truck for bashing is the MT and the kit is best as I do not like to do RTR to many changes needed and to much wasted money. I have the MT Racer, which was the forerunner of the MT2.18SS. I now have a MT 1/34 as I up graded my MT 1 Racer to all most eh MT2 SS specifications other then the upper deck and radio box hence I call it a 1 ¾. You just cannot beat 4 wheel drive for handling and pulling. :D

RE: trucks
you could get one of these:

RE: trucks
yup, but i prefer 2WD alot more as its more fun :)
if i was to race at comp level then id choose 4WD due to the extra control you have (on the ground) otherwise 2WD all the way :) |

I have both and I sure like 4-wheel much better. Do not get me wrong 2-wheel drive is fun but I like turning on a dime and tacking turns faster and with a lot less under steer not getting suck anywhere as easy patricianly if you drive where I do. But that is why they make both so you have a choice. |
RE: trucks
aye thats what i mean, with 4WD you point it & it will go which for me takes the fun out of it...if im not racing then i like a challenge & with 2WD its more fun for me, coming out of bends & giving gas etc at the right time rip up the dirt, or doing doughnuts etc which can not be done the same with 4WD.
As for turning....if i find my self with not enough room to make a turn (with 1/6 scale it happens alot!) a quick flip on the throttle @ full lock & my 2WD will spin around to face opposite direction on the spot :) 4WD is more forgiving on user mistakes, to master a 4WD is like a duck to water, to master 2WD is a different story, Ive had numerous 4WD models over the years both electric & nitro but it took me alot longer to master the control of 2WD's, but once you do get the hang of them, they are a scream :) theres is no "better" one between 2WD & 4WD, what will be best for one person might be the worse for the next, its all down to personla pref :) for me, its 2WD all the way :) |
