GT Diff HELP!!!

Is there a better diff for this thing? Mine keeps slipping (backing out) and now I've lost some of the bearings.[sm=confused.gif]
BTW it is the RTR version.

RE: GT Diff HELP!!!

Do you still have the small bearings that a sandwiched between two washers that are on the thrust bolt? Those are there to keep that from happening.

The rebuild kit from www.rc10gthobby.com is better than stock. Tighten the bolt down until its stops then your good don't back it off like they say i think its too loose and it will slip and wear out faster. Make sure too get the tranny savers they keep the dirt out and makes your diff last alot longer. Always check your diff adjustment after runs to make sure its not slipping

on the track if you dont loosen it it will not turn for crap, bashing should be fine though.

RE: GT Diff HELP!!!

Don't use thread lock on anything screwed into plastic. Only metal to metal.
Make sure the t-nut isn't stripped, that could cause it to loosen up.
Make sure the allen head is on right side of the diff, not the left.
Check periodically to keep it properly adjusted...Once it starts to slip, it will toast in short order. Adjust the slipper to slip before the diff.
