i dont know how much experience you have you are going to need to adjust your throttle arm throw, there should be a little spring or peice of fuel tubing that compresses when you apply the brake, whick in turn closes you throttle too much , you could either adjust the throttle stop screw to solve the issue of it turning off or loosen the spring/fuel tubing compression hopew that helps

RE: HELP!!!!!!

To me it sounds like the throttle trim on the radio isn't set right and your idle stop screw isn't set right either.

First thing I would try is reducing the throttle trim on the radio which should close the carb a little bit. Do this until you get a good idle. After that is set adjust the idlo stop screw until it start bringing up the idle. As soon as it starts bringing up the idle back it off a bit. Now hit the brake and make sure the motor keeps running. The idle stop screw keeps the carb from closing when you hit the brake. If it isn't adjusted properly, when you hit the brake you will close the carb, shutting the engine off.

If you can't get the proper idle by adjusting the throttle trim on the radio you might have to adjust your throttle link length.

Sound to me like your throttle trim is set to high and your idle is set to low. Screw the idle screw in, watch the carb and make sur eit doesn't close shut when you hit the brakes.

RE: HELP!!!!!!

your glow plug could also be damaged. When i bent the spring in mine it would idle really high but when i would hit the breaks it would quit. Now with the new Plug im good to go!
