RE: HPI MT 2

[link=http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&W=001465036&I=LXFYP4&P=K]Slipper clutch[/link]is what i use....and yes you can use that servo with 4AA baqtteries as I do in my 1/8 buggy, but a 6v battery pack will have faster response and more torqe. The 5 cell hump pack is made to replace the 4 AA pack. How are you stripping your sevos out?I run stock servo saver on my MT1 and have had hard landins from 10+ feet and havent trashed one yet.
|
RE: HPI MT 2
have no idea how its stripping must of been on tight or somthing because before this i racked it into a curbe long time ago and the servo was fine lol..i was at the track and hit the jump wrong it landed lik on the wheel in a angle...ive been wanting to order a metal geared servo anyways i want to try racing the MT at the track they do a mix of nitro cars..just to give a first race a try ya kno..so ive been practicing on the track...its hard when ur standing on a stand lol..
|
RE: HPI MT 2
and also the servo saver was last when i wracked i awhile ago so useing one that i had might be why i stripped it or just to tight
|
RE: HPI MT 2
If this is the [link=http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXTB42&P=7]Servo saver[/link] that you are using I dont think theres an adjustment on it.
|
RE: HPI MT 2
se yea i lost that one so i was using a different servo saver that fit on there..but i think it was to tight...i strip the gear a lot on the Nitro sport also that car is annoying lol
|
RE: HPI MT 2
i think when i get this servo atleastttt i wont prob have to worrie ya know...also wondering well two things is there a bigger tank that will fit in the MT..and Second what is a really good tires for the MT?
|
RE: HPI MT 2
I tried making that servo saver flex by holding the wheel and moving the servo horn/saver and it didnt.I was told the stock mt2 tank is bigger but it wont fit.No clue on what tanks will fit if you find something let me know.
|
RE: HPI MT 2
Yea if i find somthing or any modification ill let you know bro
|
RE: HPI MT 2
It weird how the MT 2 100 cc gas tank wont fit but the MT2 uses the 75cc

Is another post kinda like this one and there are more but the search feature just crashed on me |
RE: HPI MT 2
Aw nice i was looking through the link when i was out on the boat...ill have to finish going through that..i was reading did someone have to get an extra part for the MT to get the slipper clutch to fit or no?
|
RE: HPI MT 2
Hey Kacy i was checking your models that you had listed i am looking for a truggy how is that Ultra GT LX?
|
RE: HPI MT 2
Its old school everyone keep sayin with wont hold a candle to the newer ones...The Losi 8ight T ,Hot bodies D8T and mugen MBX5 or 6 T's seem to be what everyone is currently praising
|
RE: HPI MT 2
yea im looking around for a truggy but want to finisht the MT first did you get your parts in?
|
RE: HPI MT 2
im trying to wonder why i have the title MT 2 when i have a MT lol..hopefully all these parts you told me like the slipper clutch will fit the MT...and i saw one of your forums if i get the HPI t3.0 did you have to get that fly wheel?
|
RE: HPI MT 2
yeah the mt requires a differnet backspacing on the flywheel to use the stock mounting locations and no i havent gotten my crank yet
|
RE: HPI MT 2
Ok well when i get ready to order the t3.0 i double check on what i need or u can tell me now i can write them down...also the slipper clutch part # 87138 will fit on the Mt correct? double checking because tomorrow im getting the slipper clutch if it fits..and did you say the MT 2 bodies will fit on the MT? or should i just get the MT body
|
RE: HPI MT 2
Mt and MT2 bodies are interchangeable
the MT2 bodies have lil dents for both the MT1 and MT2 mounting posts |
RE: HPI MT 2
ah nice i like the MT 2 bodies better more up to date haha....
|
RE: HPI MT 2
Just wondering seem that i am getting a metal gear servo should i upgrade the batteries? and if so what will fit in the space for the MT?
|
RE: HPI MT 2
Ive been told the 6v hump packs were designed to fit the stock location of the 4 aa battery holder, and yeah everyone also says the 6v pack increase servo response
|
RE: HPI MT 2
Ok ill try the hump battery hopefully that fits in that spot lol...tomorrow going to just order the slipper clutch the body and the battery for my MT
|
RE: HPI MT 2
what body are you getting?
|
RE: HPI MT 2
im looking now any good ideas bro?
