i ran it at the track today worked fine today i leaned out the fuel needle not sure if that helped but didnt stall at all...Im deff liking my MT better than my traxxas.. My traxxas is a pain to start with the MT starts up with 2 pulls...Im looking for a new engine for my MT...i have the t-15 i heard the T3.0 would be good but i dont want the side exhaust anymore i want the rear i like the cyrcle exhaust better than the rectangle one lol

You cna buy just about any engine for your mt.I currently upgrading from my nitro star .15 fe to the T3.0 thanks to the engine exchange the engine was only $65.To do this you have to use a different flywheel part number 86021 and possibly different engine mounts on it to make sure everyting lines up.

If i have the T-15 do i still need to get the same flywheel or is the same that is on the T-15 will fit the T3.0...And just wondering whats a good setup for good acceleration...with the MT i dont think i can change the spur gear from that plastic thing can i? I thought i saw somewheres that you can change spur gear to like the MT 2

The flywheel from the .15 fe will not work. You will have to buy HPI part # 86021 its a flywheel for a mt2 18ss,which would also be a good time to upgrade to the racing clutch #87191 and you will have to get the 13t clutchbell #77103 and savage spur gear #87138 set up.There is also a spring setup that creates limited slip differentials #72215.Doin all of these mods may require the use a different engine mounting holes and mounts.I have not completed this swap yet as Im waiting for a few things to come in to gt it done.Do a search for the mt and you will find someones post about all the upgades that can be done to it.

isn't that for a g3.0? T3.0 should use the same mounting holes built in as a T-15 seeing there supposed to be the same mount points. I don't own the T3.0 but according to its specs the measurements are the same as the T-15.

G3.0 is definitely a different flywheel (I have a T-15 and a G3.0)
IMO unless you change the spur gear's size the clutch bell you have should fit fine. I'll be honest I might be wrong but if I am at least you haven't spent a penny, and can always get the other parts.

When I sent in my .15fe the rep at hpi called me and asked what the engine was goin on cause i orginally ordered a G3.0 thinking if it worked on the mt2 it would be the same. The difference he said is the crank and not the mount points the T3.0 has the sg crank that requires you to trim the excess off.the reason the .15fe flywheel wont work is cause of the way the flywheel fit the .15fe.

that little thing at the top is what fits in the notch of the .15fe crank and doesnt use a collet where the T3.0 doesnt have the required notch to make that work. Now if you do like i did and go to hpis website theres a part in the faq that says to use a part number for a flywheel I went to order that flywheel from tower hobbies and thier site says it wont fit the mt.I called hpi told them about this they looked it up gave me another part number that I found at a shop and bought put on my T3.0 measured 3 times cut the crank so the cluth nut would work cut twice to make sure the measurements were right.Went to put this on the truck and couldnt get the engine to line up with any holes on the chassis and with the spur gear.So i call Hpi yet again tell this hole process you just read and where I found that info on thier site and they go look up yet another flywheel.Got the new number for the flywheel took the old one with me to the hobbyshop for comparison to make this work and its the right one far as I can tell.Come home put new flywheel on cut the crank to short.Call HPI new crank is in the mail.Story to continue after I get the new crank.

Now you might ask why did I type all that out for you to read or skip over?HPI has been great for thier customer support and tech service so just casue I had all these problems dont let that scare you away just learn from my experience.

According to the HPU tech you may need engien mounts depending on clutch bell and spur gear size. Not sure if your car was a kit or not but for sure reason HPI put 2 different sets of gears in the these. The only 2 ways to know what gears you have in the differentials is to
1 take apart the differential and count the teeth on the gears and divide them.
2 the deciding factor what what car got was by if your car was bought as a kit or rtr.

The kit has a diff ratio of 2.6xx and the others have a ratio of 2.923 or 38/13 teeth

Im not sure about what shocks to use I bought a set of gpm threaded shocks for mine the were cheap and came with springs. As far as the body tower says the painted bodies are optional for the MT.I know the savage spur gear fits as its in my truck. I can have a pic of it in place tomorrow as my dcamera is dead.

Sounds like your servo savers too tight loosen the screw that holds the arm on the servo a teeny bit.
Or you might want to try out a metal geared servo. One of the lower cost MG servos I found was the hitec 645MG there sold on ebay for $28 shipped by some dude (I bought 3 off him) I got them in my Jammin RC's and haven't stripped one yet from some pretty bad hits.
