Default The right paints...

Hey guys just had a quick question might be dumb but I am a little lost. I want to startpainting on one of the my buggy bodys. So my question is before I go and spend money on paints is there any special types i should be looking for. I have done some airbrushing but not alotand i just dont want to spend my money on some paints that suck. Any help or pushes in the right direction would be great.

You will need to paint the inside of the body using polycarbounte paints. The following companies all make paints for use on lexan bodies Parma, Pactra, Tamiya and there are several other companies.

That will give you a basic idea of the process that you can roughly go by.Be sure to use good paint like mentioned above.I also use the Pactra Racing Finish Acryl.

Is that acrylic paint you mention? I'm an absolute beginner with an airbrush, and would prefer paint that doesn't require solvent to clean up.

The link is to HPI's tips page,The Pactra Racing Finish Acryl I mention is the acrylic polycarbonate paint that you would want to use, cleans up nicely with water afterward.

Here is the link to the paint...[link]http://www.testors.com/category/137991/RC_Car_Acrylics[/link]
