creating masks
Im just wondering how everybody else goes about creating masks for their shells? I think I have a pretty primative method but it works fairly well. Since I cant draw very well and usually have to copy my designs from others I usually search decal sites and find a print that I feel like painting. Ill save the print, then make it larger/smaller to make it fit my body. And since I dont have a printer I get clear tape, put a couple peices on my monitor and trace the design onto the tape, peel the tape and adhere it to a peice of this paper and cut out the design from the paper. I then lay a couple peices of masking tape across a plastic clipboard and trace the design onto the masking tape and cut it out with a razor. Im sure alot of people have the ability to draw well or have the money to buy paint masks etc. etc. but what about people In my position? Is there a better way to go about it?

RE: creating masks
Theres several masking techniques, even inexpensive ones. Theres mastic, liquid masking, and my favorite, simple 2inch wide masking tape you can get a Wal-Mart for $1.50 and an exacto knife.
