Default Convertible Concept

Im thinking if its possible to make a convertible concept for a hardtop body. im thinking about having a rod being pulled by a servo with a long arm conected to the roof here is a diagram i think would work, tell me if you think its a good idea

it would be very hard to do because lexan is so bendy and flexible,

anythings possible if you have enough time and money though

I think you might want to stiffen the body with some strips of scrap lexan JB-welded to it. The last poster was right that it will flex too much to work very well. The servo pushing againt the main body (it will have to exert force on it in some way) will cause too much distortion. I don't know what you want to do about servo speed, those things move pretty fast and i doubt you want your roof opening in 0.8 seconds. I'd love to see it if you can get it to work.

Where would the top fit into, in the little picture it was a nitro and there isn't always alot of room in these things. I would like to see if you could do it though, good luck
