Sticker Paper
Ok, this has been asked before and the search didnt help much. I need to find sticker paper, the kind you use for decals on the body shells. I want to print out a picture and put it on my truck. Does anyone know where to get this paper? It needs to be clear just like decals are.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Clear would be good so you can stick it on the inside. I've been thinking about some artist tack spray adhesive, on photo paper too, I think it would make computer ink run/bleed though. Maybe I'll try it and let you know.

RE: Sticker Paper
try getting some water slide inkjet decal paper, and some acrylic spray. the spray seals in the design on the paper so that it does not run. You can get it in clear and white, if you use the clear then you might want to back the design with a lighter colour. I have used the clear version on this shell and have put it on the inside of the shell.

Testors.com may help you find the ink sealer. They have a decal program that comes with a starter kit (couple sheets of water slide paper, the sticker sealer, and the CD with the program). I have to admit that the graphics options that are included in the program are lame, but it is a start.

I know that you can buy big sheets at a silk screen place. It is the vinyl stuff ans It is pretty cheap because they buy it in bulk and usually have rolls of left-over pieces. You could probably find a silk screen place if you looked in the phone book.

RE: Sticker Paper
So, I've actually tried the Testors paper, on my fairly new HP OfficeJet (it's an inkjet printer). I also used the spray that Testor makes, to protect the printed side. I've only tried this twice, but both times I had the same problems:
1) When applying the protective spray, it's really easy to get blank ink to "float", and it ends up looking purple or even red. Putting on super thin layers of the spray helps, but since this is a can, it's not all that accurate. Several times I've got large "drops" of the spray on the paper, making a serious bleed on the printout.
2) When transfering the stickers to the car, I can't seem to avoid getting "cracks" on the printed areas. In particular black areas are very sensitive to cracking, and it's definitely noticeable.
For 1) above, I guess it's a matter of patience, and slowly apply layer after layer of thin spray (one thin layer is not enough to protect it from getting ruined in the water). But for 2), any suggestions what I should do? More layers of protective spray?
