Default Can you....

draw on the inside of a body with sharpie and then paint over it? Like trace the edge of a window mask before paining?

Outside on protective film.. If you do the inside and paint over, it'll still show.

no thats the point, to trace something on the inside and have it show. would it work?

I've tried this, it didn't work that well. The paint is solvent enough to make the Sharpie ink fade and run and basically become everything you didn't want it to be. The easier idea would be to trace the window mask with a narrow tape or carefully cut the window mask around it's border. Little more work, but it works right, whereas the Sharpie thing doesn't so much.
