I've always used window cleaner (windex, etc) to clean my bodies. If you have an air compressor you might want to try blowing the bulk of the dust off the body first, then clean it.

hey im getting a 1/8 soon and i need a good painter to do a body for me and i really like that style you've done. so when i actually get one if i ask you very nicely and pay you nicely, will you do it for me? its an offroad one so... i don't know how easy it'll be. judging by how well yo did yours, i think you could handle it.

yes windex does have ammonia in it, but u can buy it without ammonia just look for the one that says no ammonia you can also get window cleaner in aerosol cans, normaly a foaming cleaner, this is what i prefer to use for most cleaning, some brands do and some brands dont contain ammonia, just read the can, it will say weather it does or not... and nice lookin bodies by the way

it will not damage the decals on the outside...
edit: that is if the edges are sealed well... if they are not sealed then after time it may create a problem

to protect the decals, i used clear nail polish over the decal itself. keeps it stuck on, and water tight. make sure there are no air bubbles before you put it on.

I use automotive detailer by Mothers or Mcguires if I have it....if not I pull out the pledge furniture polish...both work great and dirt just sort of falls off after a few applications
