Hi Folks

As many of you know our Canadian FAI F3A team has been hard at work planning for the upcoming World Championships in Muncie, Indiana this summer. In order to help offset the costs associated with this event our team is having a raffle. We are pleased to offer these tickets to the pattern community at large. Tickets are very limited and the odds of winning something are about 9 to 1. A fully equipped Precision Aerobatic plane is up for grabs along with numerous "early bird" prizes. Looks like ticket sales for the Canadian F3A 2011 Team raffle are moving quickly. The sales have already generated two “earlybird” draws and I have been informed that both Brad Baigent and Jon Harwood are the lucky winners of a CRC Throw Meter. These “earlybird” draw tickets will be placed back into the draw for the two larger prizes to be drawn July 1st, 2011. Hey Chad, Where are the Canadian Nats for pattern being held this year? As a flyer in North Dakota I have to keep track. The MAAC site does not have a competitions calendar. It seems really hard to find out about events happening north of the 49th. Winnipeg is only 2 hours from Grand Forks and I would like to know if anything is happening near by.

Ill quickly jump in here. I suspect the MAAC events will be posted shortly but they usually show up at this location http://www.canadaf3a.org/events/default.htm

I also try and keep a list of events on my website at http://members.shaw.ca/patternwestne...s/Welcome.html (click events at the top of the page) but you will see there is not much action in the Winnipeg area. Wish there was :-(

Just a quick update on our team raffle draw. We still has some tickets available for those interested in supporting our efforts. We just had another early bird draw for a Power Box Digi Switch and Thunder Power 900 Mah battery combo. This is the standard setup for most all the team's airframes to supply power to the flight control servos & RX.

The lucky winner of this Early Bird was Xavier Mouraux of Laval, Quebec!!! There are many more to come for anyone purchasing a ticket early!
