St Clairsville Wrap Up
#26
That was my first time to this field, and it was a very nice location, great company, excellent food, and pretty good weather considering a hurricane was not too far away. I was concerned at first about flying a new sequence and not looking very polished. Of course it was a bit disconcerting when I finished one flight and both judges asked me exactly how that half square loop on corner with 1/8 loop, 1/4 roll to knife edge, 1/4 knife edge loop, 1/4 roll followed by 1/8 loop to inverted was supposed to look. I had to carefully explain each of the elements of the maneuver a couple times. I think this new sequence was as difficult for the judges as the pilots!
Thanks to all that made this an excellent weekend for all the pilots and families.

Hello Friends,
I want to take a minute to thank you all for a great weekend. We had 27 pilots come in from Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, West Virginia, Kentucky, and even New York and North Carolina! The weather cooperated with temps in the low 80s and tolerable winds. We had no mishaps and a lot of great flying. It is amazing to see the improvement of the flyers in the lower classes. These guys are looking good!
Thanks for making the trip and traveling in to help it make a GREAT CONTEST!
The crew here in St.C is the best! 6 of the 27 flyers hail from our field. They all jump in to make things run smoothly! A special thanks goes to the wives who help with all the food and double as score keepers. These gals are so supportive! We are a team! Team St.C!!!!
Again, Thanks to all who made it happen!
Rick

Pete,
Great job on the scoring!
If you want to see your scores, simply go to the NSRCA site and go to the contest results section and click on D4. Then you can click on your name and see every score sheet.
This is a really nice feature afforded to you by Pete Cosky. Check it out and enjoy!
Thanks Pete,
RC

Anthony has been chasing Bob Condra for a while. At least he's kept his sense of humor about it. Here's a (family edited) pic of the shirt he wore to the awards ceremony.

Ouch,
I am still smarting about that one. Bob pulled the ultimate "you don't EVER get to beat me" by skipping the last contest of the year. He plans to move up to masters next year so I have to move up just to try to get revenge on him.
This rivalry is to be continued!
I still have the shirt by the way and won't get rid of it until I consistently beat him heads up. Looks like I better take good care of it.
