Default Budget servos for 2x2 plane

Hi,

Please recommend me servos for ailerons, elevator & rudder on a low budget side.... . I will be using a OS 1.60 engine for my plane.

Thanks,
High

Getting started, I ran JR 821s. These servos are reasonably priced and readily available. They come standard in lots of JR packages and many sell cheaply on Ebay as people upgrade.
I had these servos in an RC Evolution. The plane served as my son's primary pattern ship for 2 seasons. Then it went to test bed service. It had an OS 160 in it for years both piped and unpiped then went to the Syssa 180 gasser. This plane had well over 600 flights with multiple mishaps and never did I have a problem with any of the 821s, even on the rudder. I am still using them in other planes. Torque is plenty and centering is good.

Hope this helps..
Rick

645MG's are one of the worst servos I've come across. I'd reccomend them only to people who don't know how servos should feel. Like model car people or RC land yachts or something!

Futaba 9156 or Hitec 7955

You're gonna have to pay a little more for a rudder servo!

I highly recommend Futaba 9202 for its ball bearing, core-less motor (= fast and smooth response time) and excellent centering capability. The torque is good for elevators or ailerons (with a 6v regulator).

Align DS 620 MG is a cheap and good choice. Originally created as a tail servo for helicopters. As stated before 945/65 from Hitec is powerfull but far from beeing precis enough for pattern.
