I just received an email from Mark Anton stating that Sam died Sep. 8 in Tennessee.

Damn. That is sad indeed. Sam was a great guy! I clearly see Ron's Sa-turn flying around...

I bought a Pursuit kit from him in 1999 and he was always readily available for questions. I still refer to his wing construction videos for a refresh before embarking on a new build.
I never met him but feel as though I lost an old friend.

RIP Sam! I remember him well from the FL pattern circuit and he used to CD the Tampa area contest.

Yes ... Rest in Peace, Sam.
