Folks,
We just completed another great contest at Mac Hodges field, near Andersonville & Americus, GA. As usual, Emory Schroeter did a fine job running the contest. He enlisted his wife and daughters (Meredith, Anna Leigh, Stuart) to run the scoring. We had 26 contestants (3 Sportsman, 8 Intermediate, 5 Advanced and 10 Masters). The temperature was great, but we had challenging winds on both Saturday and Sunday. The field was in good condition, but dry. Rain has been almost nonexistent this year. Mac has added more hookups for the RV folks as well as a dump station. We all had a great time...wish that you were here. Thanks to Mac Hodges for letting us use his field and facilities.
We all had a great time flying and visiting....wish that you were here. Saturday night we had a BBQ brisket dinner cooked by the master chef, himself, Victor Diaz. Following dinner, Emory Schroeter erected his inflatable movie screen and showed a movie. The alternate activity was flying small electric foam airplanes below a beautiful moon, while some others looked on and shouted pilot words.
