Shortman,
Build a CG Extra 300. Great flying plane that can be put together at a reasonable cost and flown in either event. World models makes an ARF that is almost a copy and lots of others are available that would be under 2m and 5 kg. Start practicing and hit the contest trail. You will have a blast.

Like I said and you agree the Kaos is an excellent pattern trainer. Bridi's whole line of kit's From the Old days of the XLT to the still popular Kaos. LOL keep those maneuvers going.

kaos, i got a friend that flies this plane 24/7. looks cool and flies good as well
