Well guys, just got home from the 24th annual "Antelope Valley Tailwind Fall Pattern Classic" contest in Lancaster.
What a great contest, with 17 pilots from across the dist, we were able to get in 5 rounds of some very good flying
over the weekend. An to everyone surprise, the weather was just great.
With very little wind, I think that 10 mph was the worst that it got, now as far as the temperature go's,it was a little warm.
At one point the gauge, read 102.
I was very glad, to see that we had 6 sportsman pilots do battle, for that 1st place award. with 3 Intermediate, 2 Advanced, 6 Masters and 1 FAI pilot.
A big thank you goes out to our very own,AMA Dist VP Lawrence Tougas, for that long drive from Nor Cal, to join us for this weekends contest.
An to Jean and Mike, thanks from lunch both days, and the outstanding campfire BBQ Saturday night, your hospitality really made everyone feel very welcome
over the weekend. In closing, thanks to Mike and Jean for CDing and scoring such a great contest, and the Antelope Valley Tailwind Club, for the use of their field
and their club member that came out to support this event.
Here are the final score's and photos, again thanks Mike and Jean, for a great contest an hope to do it again next year.
