Default Flying in The Netherlands?

Hello - Does anyone out there know of any clubs or hobby shops in The Netherlands, close to The Hague? I'm moving to The Hague in the middle of December for work and plan to be there for 1-2 years. I need a store to browse and a field to hang out at occassionally!

It's been a fun and successful competion year for me but I'm going to have to put competition on hold for a bit, at least in the US . I've been building/flying my entire life so I'll continue with the hobby but may have to stick to park flyers while I'm overseas. I do plan to fly the sequences with the flight simulator though so I can at least attempt to stay current.

Thanks for any suggestions!

Steve hello,

See this page, an up to date overview of clubs and locations in the Netherlands:

http://www.hoppenbrouwer-home.nl/ikarus/mvc_nl.htm

The Hague is in Zuid Holland, I am from the other side of the country, the club of Frans Hoppenbrouwer ( http://www.hoppenbrouwer-home.nl/ikarus/ )

Maybe you better look yourself for the city nearest to your location, see the overview in that web page and the club.
When you still have questions, please ask.

There is written:
Click on the city name of your choice and you'll come in the alphabetical list with on top selected city name and club in that city...

GOOGLE Earth is your guide, I show some, not all!! Zoetermeer is nearest to The Hague I think!

After you make your choice you can find the (Google Earth) location in the oveview of the club, see the red arrow, for example the club of Zoetermeer! Touch that icon to activate the search for that location!

Last point not forget, there are a lot of fields located below sea level, and there they have THICK FAT AIR, no wings needed! (Dutch airfoil shaped stagger dowels, LOL)

This is great info, guys, thank you so much! I'll reach out to some fliers over there, and it looks like there is at least one field not too far away - assuming my car clears customs I'll be all set. And I'll definitely keep in touch, JR! I'll shoot an email before we head over with my updated contact information so you can send me planes!

I would suggest this club:

http://www.hoppenbrouwer-home.nl/ikarus/mvc_g.htm#GOUDA

They are active in F3A pattern flying, the current Dutch champion flies there as well. It is not too far from Den Haag.

I think they also fly jets and are busy with vintage models, so you might end up with a new interest!
