Good seeing Archie and Tara and and Dale. Am pleased to see Kevin right in the mix of it. We had a great time and thanks to Nick and Bill for scoring and line directing. THanks to Culpepper barnstormers (Vince Tobacco showed me a new emblem idea for the club which was very suiting for barn-storming). Although we did not have the time to check out the locale, we flew basically in the middle of a civil war era cavalry encampment adjacent to the famous battle (near the location of the largest cavalry battle of the civil war).

Other goings on were a close look at several Contra units that were on display and /or flown.

Cheers,
Don

Don,

Thanks' for the support, the kind words and words of wisdom. It's always good to see everyone and all the newest innovations. You and Joseph are always welcome (enjoyed hanging with Joseph, what a nice youngman). I hope to get back to flying more and being more competitive soon, was great just to get out and have some fun. I had a chance to fly the BJ Craft Biside-D for about 4 minutes, what a sweet machine, made friends with it very fast (Thank's JR and Chris Moon)!

Thank you JR for calling for me all weekend and keeping me laughing. Good to see Mike Caglia out, I think I'll consider swiping his transmitter and giving it back for the last two rounds,Lol.

It was great to compete in my first East Coast contest! Thanks to everyone for being so welcoming to myself and Jessica. We both had a great time meeting new people and catching up with old friends.

Thanks Archie for calling for me. Thanks to JR and the Barnstormers for hosting the contest. Hope to see everyone soon!

After the contest, Joseph and I got a couple of flights on the Bi-Plane which JR brought (Chris Moon's) and the plane flew very well. Its call the Bi-Side and it locks very well in flight with very good speed range. After two flights am very comfortable flying it (almost flew it the second day of the contest with a half flight on it). It has good tight rolling circles which all of us that were standing in line got a chance to do. I did some knife edge vertical eights which is one of three salt test maneuvers and it did them very well. I found some additional details on the plane.
