Default 2M Monolog

Hey everyone! Just wanted to share with you pictures of my new Monolog, as I flew the maiden flight today. Started building it after I got back from "spectating" at the Nats. Three good flights and couldn't be happier! Got it done just in time to make the last few contests of the season here in D2. Wind was a little gusty, but not too bad for a first day.

Got the combo deal from F3A Unlimited which included the Castle Edge HV 80 ESC and Himax 210 motor. Running a Futaba 9CAP with 2.4 module.

R617FS Receiver
S9650 on Elevators
S9151 on Rudder
S9551 on Ailerons
Powerbox Sensor 12 Regulator/Switch

Thanks to Mike, Anna, & Chris from F3A Unlimited, as they provided outstanding service and support for this project! Couldn't have met nicer folks in Muncie!

Very nice, Kevin. When's your 1st contest with the plane?

Thanks John! If I'm lucky, I'll make it to the D1/D2 Shootout in two Weeks.

Nice looking aircraft Kevin. I have to say, it is strange seeing you fly with all that green background. I'm used to seeing you fly with nothing but cactus, sand, and brush in the background.

Hi Kevin,
Glad to see you got it done and it is great to see you back in pattern! Wish I could make to the shootout to see the inauguration.

I really like the silver on the fuse. One of our club members here is finishing one as well. Great flying plane. Looking forward to seeing it at the contest in 2 weeks.

Anthony, thanks for the message. It's good to be back! Thanks for your advice last month. Huge learning curve with these new machines! (electrically speaking)

Arch, I have to agree with you. I was expecting the white side, but was pleasantly surprised when I opened up the crate. Assuming the weather holds out and I get some good practice in this coming weekend, I should be ready for the Shootout. Will be a lot of fun!

Sounds good. Even if you don't, come on down early on Friday. The field will be open all day.
