Default Hyde mount question

Afternoon all,

A while back I purchased a Phase One that came with a Hyde mount which I've never used before. Although I'll probably put a YS 160 on this plane it wouldn't hurt my feelings to put an OS 140RX on it instead. Is the Hyde mount engine specific or will both engines work without major modification? I'm confident based on comments from the seller and from the builder that this was originally set up for the YS 140 and if going with the YS is the simplest solution it's what I'll do.
I'm looking forward to finishing this plane up and being ready for 3 or 4 events in 2014. Thanks for the help.

Find out from the seller which Hyde mount is in the plane, then check out Central Hobbies' website. They have a chart that listed all different type of Hyde mounts.

I switched between YS 1.40DZ/1.60DZ and OS 1.40RX in my first Partner seamlessly with a Hyde ARA (AR mount with aluminum beams that only captured the rear two bolt holes). That was my favorite mount Merle made. Your only issue between the OS and the YS may be header interference with the very top of the mount. I always used an Asano flex header on the OS, so I had no issues, I know a friend of mine had some problems with the stock OS header when he put an OS in his Brio that was built for a YS.

My Synergy was originally equiped with an YS 140 on a Hyde Mount, when I switched to OS 140 the only adjustment needed was a different nose ring.

I don't know why I didn't attach a photo to this to begin with but here it is as currently installed on the airframe. As I said I've never used a Hyde mount and was suprised that this one only attaches to two of the holes on the engine. I gather from some reading that the 140 and 160 are interchangeable in mounting. I hope the nose ring doesn't need changing. I'll be able to test fit before I buy hopefully.

The DZ140 to the DZ175 use the same crankcase so the 160 will definetly fit.
