FARM pattern contest May 23-24
I've confirmed a Tiger Tail will be present this weekend at the Bealeton, VA pattern contest.
The main attraction is on Saturday evening. My wife has already started cooking a special meal for anyone who is interested in participating. She is making three types of bar-b-que (pork, chicken and Texas style beef brisket). The FARM club agreed to make this an F3A team fundraising meal at the pattern contest at the FARM club Saturday afternoon/evening when flying is complete. Basically, we will have some pattern flyers from the 1970's telling stories about model aircraft technology at that time and some interesting tales of RC pilots. I'm told that there will be quite a few stories to tell of "back in the day". Team F3A shirts, hats, raffle ticket (forms/connection) and lots of good time!
In addition to classic pattern as part of the event, we will also have a special demonstration of jet aerobatics, called "F3S", courtesy of Archie.
Be sure to bring some "Classic" pictures.
The weekend will be a mix of the old and the new.

Great pattern contest. I'd like to thank Nic Burhans, the FARM club and Kirk Wicker for supporting this event. We had some unique events with this contest to include F3S jet pattern aerobatics and Classic Pattern as well as a fundraiser for the U.S. team. I think all had a good time attending. I'll get some details up when I get the chance.

Had a GREAT time at contest, the weather was great too. The air show Kirk put on for us on Saturday evening with his full scale Cub was GREAT. IF I only had a camera on Robert C. face when Kirk flew the plane behind the tree line. Thank goes out to the FARM membership for host a great event. Also a SPECIAL thanks go out to Kirk Wicker for helping us out with the fundraiser. Thank to Archie for F3S show, and test flight on his jet.
P.S.
Watch out I think Joesph is looking into jet and full scale.

Some pictures from the Team F3A fundraiser. We were able to raise $673.50 for the 2015 US F3A Team through a combination of the dinner meal that Beth and Isabella prepared for the pilots, the airshow (like who could pay the most not to get the ride of their life) and lunch and soda proceeds, (and shirts and hats sold)- thanks to the FARM Club and Nic Burhans for all the support.

Hey Don! Hope you are well!
Yes. Im still in NYC for one more year, then heading to Texas so I can fly all year long in nice sunny warm weather.
I will not be going to the Poconos contest this weekend. Jessica and I had our first little baby boy last week! He was born a few months early while attending a contest in upstate NY last weekend. He is healthy and doing well but still in the hospital till he gets bigger and stronger...I guess he wanted to start flying planes earlier than I thought.
Hope to see you guys soon!
