Just a reminder that the St Clairsville pattern contest is coming up August 22 and 23.. The field will be open for practice around noon on August 21 and contest flying will begin around 10:00 AM Saturday...or whenever the sun exits the box.
Lunch is included in your entry fee both days and we're pleased to announce the return of Houston's Smoked chickens after a year's absence.
We'll fly Sportsman, Advanced, Masters and FAI.
All AMA legal airplanes eligible for Sportsman, and any Sportsman flying in their first contest flies free. This means we'll buy your lunch if you come fly with us!
Hope to see you all there.

Just talked to Supreme Commander Rick Cilles and he test ate a Houston's chicken this weekend and has pronounced it excellent.
A few more details: The field will be open for practice at noon Friday, probably earlier. The gate will be open at 8:00 on Saturday and Sunday, with Saturday registration beginning at 9:00, Pilots' meeting at 10:00, and wheels up sometime between then and 11:00 depending on sun conditions.
Entry fees are $35 for FAI, Masters, Advanced and Intermediate, $25 for Sportsman and free for anyone competing in their first Sportsman contest.

Hi All,
I just want to thank you all for making it in to a super contest! It is a real pleasure to be a part of the family. A special shout out to the St.C team that makes the contest happen.
Hope to see you all next year,
Rick

Everyone was anxious to fly, and eventually we did. Brenner Sharp piloting, Bryan Finley calling.
Verne Koester pilots while Lynn Morgan calls.
Mike Murphy and Mark Doucy judge. Mike came all the way from Grand Rapids, Mark made the trek from Indianapolis.

We were honored by the presence of several AMA officials this weekend. Here's a pic of District VP Mark Radcliffe, Education Director Bill Pritchett and President Bob Brown with the St C R/C Flyers officers.
Nats Evnet Director Bob Kane put in one of the last flights of the contest. Here he is taking off.
Finally, the awards. Here's Sportsman winner George Gordon accepting his plaque from Contest Director Rick Cilles.
We had a great time putting on this contest and thank everyone who spent time, effort and money to be with us.
We're planning on doing it again next year. Please come back, and bring a friend!
