Can somebody tell me the JR part no. for the gearset to convert 8411 to 8411SA?
There are two sets of gears in the packet and I have done this conversion on a couple of servos but have lost the empty packet!
Thanks
Malcolm

I have converted a lot of 8411's to nylon gears, the JR partno. to use are : 8101. It's a ser of gears that fits into a whole range of servo's : 811, 8201, 8301, 8401, 8300 etc. For a picture of the JR-package with the gearset : http://home.online.no/~ofremmi/F3A/T...tuffForF3A.htm

I bought the SA conversions for my 8411's that are used in my Angel's Shadow. They are alot better in the slop department with very little if any. By buying the conversions, they also give you the faceplates to put on the top so you won't confuse the 8411SA's with anything after the conversion. I also think you get 2 conversion set per package. I may be wrong about this though. John, Lubbock, TX

Why not do what Futaba does and just change the number 2 or middle gear. leave the other metal gears in. With the plastic #2 gear, the metal gear will not wear.

I have 4 8411's that I converted to nylon gears, *including* the nylon output gear. The package (same as Ola referred to) is a multi-purpose gear set...my bag is marked for the 8101, adn is the p/n for the 8231! Imagine! Interchangeability!!
The nylon output gear is a bit of a chore to replace with the little insert that indexes the pot wiper pin; then the bearings aren't all that easy....but they work, and become slop-free, psuedo-8411SA's.
In case anyone is curious - I did what I did based on Danny from Horizon's (JR service) recommendation. Works just fine.
