I was browsing Colombo/Anderson Models web site (of Fantasy/Eclipse fame) and stumbled across a new plane! It is called the Epsilon. It looks like a smaller Fantasy (60/90 size) but it is all laser cut. I guess the wing and tail are still foam though. It looks really sweet. I would post a picture from the web site but for some reason RCU is not allowing me to do it.
BTW, the website is www.camodel.com.ar

That plane looks sweet. I have the Widebody 60 kit, and now I might have to reconsider my efforts. What is the price??? Anyone?
It also might have plug in wings, which would be great considering my transportation... Maybe a pipe tunnel too.

Dear frinds, thanks for the interest!!! We want to tell you that a few days ago we presented in Argentina our new model EPSILON.
This model has a higher concept acording to its construction. We assure that you can have the construction finished in only one work day. We have probed this airplane with different weathers and has surpassed our expectations.
The airplane stays very stable while flying and makes amazing Snap Rolls. And rolls at an incredible speed. This model could be perfectly used as a Pattern Trainer or with the CG a little back you can make very nice 3D flyes. This airplane will be ready in the USA since March. If anyone wishes to get one now we can send it directly from Argentina.
In a few days we will place more pics on the web releted to the construction method, of the airplane flying, etc.
In the basic kit the wings, rudder, stab, tourtle deck, hatch cover are all pre-sheeped with balsa and epoxy resin. The fuse is all cut with laser.
Any question you have we will answer them through the forum so anyone can take a look ath them.
If anyone could tell us how to place some pics here we can show you moreof this plane.
Regards.

Yep - it sure looks like a 91FX. The propeller looks like an APC 14x8 Pattern (the 13x8 is much different). According to the site it is about 65 in long. Wingspan is about 63 in. Indicated weight is 3,200-3,300 grams (7 to 7.7 pounds!!!! - slightly optimistic here????)

Not really...did you look at the fuse construction pics? I have a sub 8 lb GP Extra 300 .60 size. If that can come in under 8lb this sure a heck can.

Marcello - You have some beautiful 2M pattern planes (Fantasy and Eclipse). Have you thought about offering a lower cost, built up wood 2M pattern plane...like an Epsilon 140?
How does the Epsilon compare to the Widebody 60?

I doubt it. I think you can see the wing through the fuse in that one picture actually. More than likely it is a 1 piece wing with a large belly pan like all of this airplanes other than the 2m versions. Looks nice either way.

I'll second the low-er cost kit request. A laser cut, all wood fuselage has to be a LOT cheaper than the state-of-the art composite fuselages (like ZNLine, PLProd, etc.). I'd be happy with unsheeted foam cores, too - keep the cost down. I'll provide my own landing gear, too!! A one-piece wing is also fine by me.
Food for thought!!

If I get permission from the little lady I am going to order the Epsilon from CA in Argentina. I will get the kit version that Columbo says will only run me $189.00. I will post pics and review once I get it and begin the building process.
Can't wait!!

I'll be buying the current Eclipse as soon as it hits the US shores. I'd like to support the US importer. When will the importer in Miami have them?
For a wood 2m plane all he has to do is design a fueselage. Eclipse and Fantasy wings/stabs could plug right in. 2 new models (Eclipse 140 FAI and Eclipse 140 AA) for the design time of 1 fuse!
