Default 3D flyer wants a pattern plane.

Hello.

Im looking for a nice cheap yet nice to fly pattern plane. Something for an Irvine .46 would be nice, since my .53 will be going in my next 3D. It can't cost too much and it hopefully should be available in the Uk. I've seen a Venus 40 fly and it seems a treat bit is there anything else that might fit the bill?

Thanks.

I'll 3rd it. If the widebody 40 flies anything like the 60, that's as close to a 2 meter full tilt design as you'll get. With no wind, there's not much difference in the way the widebody flies vs a full 2 meter bird. Add wind and the story changes of course.....

Are there any pics? I'm not a big fan about canopies over engines, so whats the cost like?

Widebody 40 comes as kit, ARC, or ARF.
A few weeks ago I attended a pattern contest in Waco Tx and one of the FAI fliers there
who is on the FAI judges committee was saying he used a Widebody 60 for a practice
plane and he was telling me how well he thought it flew. I understand the WB 40 flies
just as good.

Well its very interesting to see in comes in many different forms, havn't seen that before.

It seems ok except from the name, Widebody?

Good to see it does not have the canopy in front of the wing. Well I have never seen one of these at my crop cirlce.

It can 3D??? That was very unexpected. It can take a .46 too! Good weight for .53 tho. But I will have another 3D plane anyway. Now I just need a price...

Well this is def something I wouldn't mind having, one 3D plane complemented by a Widebody sure seems like a nice setup!
